Now, this is outright scary: I used Google’s new “Audio Overview” feature on NotebookLM to produce an artificial podcast (using two created hosts) about a recent post I published on Substack to talk about the 1st Anniversary of my Levent’s Kaleidoscope newsletter and explaining the concepts.
The podcast came out to be very realistic and believable. Apart from a few inaccuracies the review also made a lot of sense.1
The feature can be tested on Google’s NotebookLM site.
A long-time SF reader and aspiring author, I am starting to get a little bit scared about the potential problems these new AI features will cause in the future, although I support AI work in principle and I’m aware of its shortcomings.
